I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to be part of Val Verde High School and the Student Success Academy in the capacity of Assistant Principal.

I look forward to working with the wonderful students, teachers and staff. I will strive to make the campus safe, secure and a positive environment for learning to take place.

I like to quote President Abraham Lincoln who stated, “People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be.” I would to add that people are just as successful as they make up their mind to be. No one chooses the situation he/she is born into, but we do have control of where we end up. The key is hard work and perseverance while letting nothing stand in the way of achieving your goal.

I have been married for 19 years and have three boys. My advice to all is, “Be safe and make good choices.” Remember, the choices we make, dictate the life we lead.
