Meet Our Administration
Principal Stacy Dedeaux
I am honored to serve my second year as Principal of Val Verde High School. For the last eighteen years, I have served in several capacities within the Riverside and Val Verde Unified School Districts.
I was born in Los Angeles and moved to Moreno Valley just before my fifth grade year. I have been a student at Victoriano Elementary, Bethune Elementary, Vista Verde Middle School and Rancho Verde High.
After graduating from Rancho Verde in 1997, I moved on to obtain an Associate of Arts degree from Riverside Community College. I then transferred to University of California, Riverside and graduated with a BA in English in 2002. I obtained my Single Subject Teaching Credential in English from Cal State San Bernardino in 2004. After several years of teaching, I went back to school and graduated with a MA in Educational Leadership and Administration from Chapman University in 2011.
My husband Alex and I are parents to two amazing children, Alex and Lauryn. My family is supportive of my work and drives me to do my very best in all things.
From 2007 to 2017, I served as an English teacher, Yearbook Adviser, WASC Coordinator and Department Chair at Rancho Verde. In 2015, I left Rancho Verde to become an Instructional Coach here at Val Verde High School, where I supported teachers by providing professional development and assisting with curriculum design. During the 2017-2018 school year, I returned to Rancho Verde as an Assistant Principal. In September of 2021, I returned to Val Verde High School as principal.
I have many close relationships within the community and take great pride in serving at such an amazing school.
